Role Overview
The Business Intelligence Analyst is tasked with creating, documenting, testing, and ensuring the quality of enterprise-level data and analytics solutions. Collaborating with internal business units, IT analysts, and the BI development team, this role maintains adherence to governance standards within the BI portfolio. Reporting to the Lead of Business Intelligence within the IT Department, the analyst drives data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze organizational data and develop management and analytics solutions leveraging visualization tools such as Tableau, supporting functions like Sales, Distribution, Marketing, Manufacturing, and Finance.
- Convert business logic into SQL queries to facilitate reporting and data analysis.
- Draft detailed technical specifications defining data flows, transformation processes, and solution protocols.
- Document designs including architecture, scheduling, monitoring, and maintenance requirements.
- Perform code reviews, walkthroughs, and solution testing to comply with SDLC and project management guidelines.
- Contribute to company-wide data cleansing standards and provide ongoing post-implementation support as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related discipline.
- Minimum of three years experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or related data-centric roles.
- Proficiency in SQL, including query writing and optimization for data extraction and analysis.
- Experience designing dashboards and reports using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or advanced Excel techniques.
- Sound knowledge of data management principles like warehousing, modeling, and transformation logic.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams translating business needs into technical deliverables within SDLC or project contexts.
