Role Overview
The Business Growth Associate role, based in Kampala with a hybrid work setup permitting partial remote work, is aimed at driving revenue and brand expansion. Key tasks include uncovering new business prospects, nurturing client relationships, and aiding strategic growth initiatives. Responsibilities encompass conducting market and financial evaluations, preparing business proposals, monitoring key performance indicators, and assisting in executing digital marketing and PR projects. The associate will work closely with cross-departmental teams to enhance client servicing, streamline internal workflows, and ensure timely, budget-compliant delivery of projects. Regular engagement with clients and collaborators, maintaining accurate documentation, and offering insights to leadership for decision-making are integral to this role.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- Strong analytical capabilities to assess market dynamics, campaign outcomes, and financial metrics for sound decision-making.
- Basic knowledge in finance and business to support budgeting, forecasting, and growth strategy formulation.
- Exceptional communication skills for crafting clear reports, proposals, and presentations, alongside effective stakeholder engagement.
- Proficient customer service skills to foster robust client relationships, address inquiries, and support retention and satisfaction.
- A bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Economics, or a related discipline is advantageous.
- Experience in business development, account management, or growth roles within marketing, publishing, or PR sectors is a plus.
- Familiarity with productivity software and fundamental data analysis tools such as spreadsheets and CRM platforms, coupled with strong organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment, demonstrating a proactive attitude and keen interest in brand development and storytelling.
