The Customer Solutions Growth Regions division caters to customers across Africa, the Middle East, Eurasia, Asia (excluding Japan), and Latin America. This division focuses on tailoring solutions through products, services, technology, rental equipment, and financing options.
The Business Development Representative (Structured Finance) position is part of the Customer Value Solutions & Engagement team, working closely with dealers, customers, and internal teams to develop and implement financing solutions that ease equipment acquisition and ownership challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with dealers, customers, and commercial teams to identify financing needs and support equipment sales growth.
- Create bespoke financing programs for customers and dealers in emerging and growth markets.
- Evaluate market conditions, customer and dealer requirements to recommend suitable retail finance products and tools.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships to facilitate financing solutions and business expansion.
- Serve as the primary contact for customers and dealers to translate financial challenges into viable financing approaches.
- Support field teams and dealers with financial insights to promote customer success.
- Track and assess retail and dealer inventory financing performance, proposing enhancements when necessary.
- Lead or assist in onboarding and executing new cashflow initiatives for customers and dealers.
- Provide training and guidance during the rollout of new financing services.
- Coordinate cross-functionally with finance, legal, compliance, commercial, and regional teams to ensure practical, compliant, and commercially sound solutions.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, or related disciplines.
- Experience in structured finance, retail finance, dealership finance, asset or trade finance, banking, or commercial finance.
- Proven capability in working with customers, dealers, distributors, financial institutions, or commercial teams.
- Strong skills in developing tailored financing and business solutions that aid customer acquisition and retention.
- Business development orientation with the ability to detect opportunities, influence stakeholders, and translate needs into actionable financing plans.
- Familiarity with retail financing products, dealer inventory finance, treasury management, and working capital solutions.
- Experience supporting the implementation and management of financing programs and cashflow initiatives.
- Ability to operate effectively within a matrix organizational structure and collaborate with diverse teams.
- Analytical proficiency to assess financial data, customer requirements, and market trends.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities to articulate financial concepts to various audiences.
- Strong interpersonal skills capable of influencing and building trusted relationships without formal authority.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are advantageous depending on the regional customer base.
Desirable Experience
- Background in automotive, equipment, construction, mining, or heavy equipment finance.
- Engagement with dealer networks, distributors, banks, captive finance or financial institutions.
- Commercial or corporate banking, vendor finance, structured and asset finance experience.
- Expertise in drafting customer financing proposals, business cases, or unique financing solutions.
- Capability in supporting business growth within emerging markets or multiple countries.
- Project leadership experience.
- Advanced skills with Excel and PowerPoint.
