About the Role
Join Caterpillar Inc., a global leader committed to innovation and building sustainable communities. As a Trade Compliance Analyst within the Trade Center of Excellence (TCOE), you will support trade compliance activities focused on the India region by translating regulatory requirements into effective business solutions. Collaborate with compliance, legal, and business leaders to strengthen trade controls and embed compliance into daily operations.
Primary Responsibilities
- Support assessment and management of customs and trade compliance risks by identifying gaps and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Assist in creating, executing, and sustaining trade compliance policies, procedures, and control mechanisms.
- Partner closely with business divisions, legal, and compliance teams to provide practical guidance on trade compliance matters within the India region.
- Deliver training programs on trade, customs, and regulatory standards relevant to Caterpillar's products, services, and technologies.
- Effectively communicate risk assessments, recommendations, progress, and outcomes to relevant stakeholders.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- In-depth knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures, import/export controls, and compliance program standards.
- Strong analytical capabilities to evaluate complex issues, determine root causes, assess risks, and suggest feasible solutions.
- Problem-solving skills to address operational or compliance challenges and enhance processes and controls.
- Proven ability to build trusted relationships across business, legal, compliance, and external stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and training skills to clearly explain regulatory requirements and present recommendations across diverse audiences.
Preferred Candidate Attributes
- Established expertise in trade compliance, customs, import/export operations, or closely related fields.
- Experience in developing, supporting, or managing compliance procedures and control systems.
- Strong business judgement and intellectual curiosity to align with and support organizational leadership priorities.
Additional Information
- This role requires working onsite five days per week at the Singapore location.
