Job description
About RunSensible
RunSensible is a comprehensive legal practice management platform designed to streamline essential functions such as client intake, matter management, document handling, appointments, billing, and legal accounting. This integration allows legal professionals to reduce time spent on managing disparate systems and focus more on client service.
Role Overview
We are looking for a Business Development Representative with a background in law and excellent communication skills to join our team in Thornhill. In this capacity, you will engage with lawyers, paralegals, and law firm decision-makers to understand their workflows and present RunSensible solutions. The role requires initiating contact, maintaining ongoing communication, and demonstrating a clear understanding of client needs to build lasting relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform outbound prospecting efforts via cold calls and customized emails targeting legal professionals and firms.
- Identify potential customers, assess their current workflow processes, and gauge interest in RunSensible.
- Clearly articulate product features and their benefits to daily legal operations.
- Arrange and conduct product demonstrations following thorough training.
- Ensure regular follow-ups, address product inquiries, and facilitate the sales process through the evaluation stages.
- Keep sales CRM updated with contact details, notes, sales opportunities, and scheduled activities.
- Support customer communication and onboarding processes.
- Under guidance, assist with drafting, reviewing, and updating legal forms and document templates, including proofreading for clarity, formatting consistency, and flagging any legal content questions internally.
Candidate Profile
- Possess post-secondary qualifications in law, paralegal studies, or related disciplines.
- Graduated within the last two years to meet eligibility criteria.
- A minimum of one year experience either in a legal firm environment or a sales role.
- Proficient spoken and written English abilities.
- Comfortable initiating conversations, performing cold calls, and engaging presentations with legal professionals.
- Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail and reliable follow-up management skills.
- Willingness to adapt to new software and respond positively to feedback.
- Prior experience with outbound sales, CRM platforms, software demonstrations, or legal practice management software is advantageous.
What We Provide
- Comprehensive product training and ongoing sales coaching.
- Practical experience in legal technology sales, client demonstrations, and relationship management.
- A supportive and collaborative team environment with guidance on sales and legal-content activities.
Important Legal Work Notice
The legal support responsibilities focus on document and form review, proofreading, formatting, product assistance, and client communication but do not include offering independent legal advice. Any legal issues beyond this role should be escalated internally.
