About ABGi Canada
ABGi Canada, part of Groupe SNEF, is seeking to expand its sales team in Montreal, Quebec, or Toronto by hiring an ambitious and dynamic Business Development Representative. Established in 1990, ABGi boasts one of the largest expert networks specializing in tax credit optimization. Present across 10 countries including the UK, France, Canada, and Brazil, the company supports organizations from various sectors in obtaining tax credits and government incentives and is a recognized leader in its field.
Role Overview
The core mission is to generate new business opportunities with innovative companies. This involves leveraging strong sales skills and relationship-building capabilities to assist clients with programs related to aid, tax credits, and grants.
Work Location & Conditions
The position is based in Montreal, Quebec, or Toronto with an option for hybrid work. Occasional travel may be necessary depending on business needs.
Responsibilities
- Devote approximately 80% of efforts to prospecting activities such as outbound outreach, cold calls, emails, and LinkedIn engagement.
- Spend around 20% of time managing and growing strategic accounts.
- Lead the entire sales cycle from initial prospecting to contract closure.
- Collaborate with innovative enterprises across Canada.
Candidate Profile
- A hunter mentality with a strong focus on achieving results.
- Post-secondary education or equivalent qualifications.
- At least two years of experience in business development or consulting service sales targeting mid-market companies.
- Experience with consulting firms or in tax credit domains (such as RS&DE) is a significant advantage.
- Proven ability to apply structured sales methodologies and manage sales cycles comprehensively.
- Bilingual proficiency in French and English.
- Highly autonomous with strong initiative and motivation.
- Excellent communication and listening skills.
- Comfortable with prospecting activities and handling rejection.
- Background in B2B sales or professional services is a plus.
