Role Overview
The Business Development Representative will be pivotal in expanding new business avenues and enhancing the client portfolio. The position centers on discovering potential prospects, developing qualified leads, and fostering relationships to assist the sales team in securing new contracts. A key focus will be on representing our Managed Detection and Response (MDR) and Professional Services (PS) offerings.
Compensation and Benefits
- Commission structure includes a 20% variable bonus contingent on meeting established KPIs.
- Employees are enrolled in a mandatory Company Group Pension Scheme from the first day, with equal employer and employee contributions of 3% each.

- Flexible working arrangements are available after tenure completion, including Meeting Free Friday afternoons.
Location and Working Hours
- The role reports to our Cork headquarters but applications are welcomed from anywhere within the Republic of Ireland.
- Workdays are Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
- Some travel is required for this position.
Application Process

Subsequent steps may include remote and in-person interviews, potentially accompanied by role-related tasks or presentations. Primary Responsibilities
- Proactively identify and research target sectors and companies across Ireland to generate leads.
- Employ multiple outreach methods including cold calls, email campaigns, LinkedIn, and networking to engage prospective clients.
- Qualify inbound leads sourced from marketing initiatives.
- Conduct discovery calls to assess IT and business challenges of prospects.
- Present and articulate our value propositions and solutions effectively to decision-makers.
- Arrange meetings and demonstrations for the field sales team.
- Maintain thorough, up-to-date records of all client and lead activities within the CRM system.
- Regularly track and report metrics such as lead generation, meeting bookings, and conversion rates.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to optimize outreach strategies.
- Stay informed on cybersecurity trends and keep track of competitors' offerings to highlight differentiators when speaking with clients.
Qualifications and Skills
- Demonstrated success in sales, business development, or lead generation roles, ideally within the IT or cybersecurity industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Highly organized with aptitude for managing several tasks simultaneously.
- Confident in performing cold calls and engaging senior executives (C-level).
- Experience with CRM platforms such as HubSpot.
- Knowledge or experience with cybersecurity and managed services is advantageous.
- An understanding of the Irish commercial environment and markets serving SMEs and enterprises is beneficial.
