The Business Development Representative position supports Quest's Identity & Security (IS) and Data Solutions (DS) teams, driving key activities like pipeline generation, accelerating opportunities, and contributing to revenue across enterprise client segments.
Role Purpose
We seek highly capable, commercially minded BDRs to join our expanding EMEA team in Cork, supporting strategic enterprise accounts. This role evolves beyond typical BDR duties, shifting from volume-based outreach to insight-driven prospecting powered by AI, buyer intent data, and strategic analysis. You will be a modern, data-fluent hunter, collaborating closely with Account Executives and Sales leaders to produce tangible business results.
Work Location
Cork, Ireland with a hybrid schedule: in-office Tuesday to Thursday and remote Monday and Friday.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and qualify high-quality sales pipeline within strategic enterprise accounts, including clients like HSBC, Shell, and Mars.
- Quickly and accurately manage and convert approximately 60% inbound demand with thorough qualification.
- Initiate targeted outbound campaigns (about 40%) using multi-channel approaches such as calls, emails, LinkedIn messaging, video outreach, and event engagement.
- Engage with senior stakeholders across IT, data, security, and business units via consultative and value-driven conversations.
- Identify client pain points and align them with Quest’s Trusted Data, AI, and Cybersecurity solutions.
- Utilize intent data, trigger events, and buying signals to prioritize accounts and tailor outreach strategies.
- Secure and schedule qualified discovery meetings for Sales and Pre-Sales teams.
- Ensure strict qualification standards using frameworks like MEDDPICC and maintain clean opportunity handoffs.
- Maintain disciplined CRM usage, ensuring pipeline accuracy and consistent activity tracking.
- Collaborate effectively with Account Executives, Sales Engineers, Marketing, and Sales leadership.
- Regularly refine messaging and strategies based on market feedback, call analytics, and conversion metrics.
Required Qualifications
- Fluent English communication skills.
- 2 to 3 years of experience in outbound B2B sales or related roles.
- Strong commercial storytelling and communication expertise.
- A proactive hunter mindset, demonstrating resilience and a preference for decisive action.
- A data-oriented approach with the ability to analyze signals and prioritize opportunities effectively.
- Highly coachable, eager to learn, and dedicated to continuous professional growth.
- Genuine interest in technology sectors including data, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence.
