Job description

About Thrivewell Capital

Thrivewell Capital delivers swift and adaptable working capital solutions to small and mid-sized companies throughout the U.S. and Canada. Specializing in revenue-based financing designed for speed, simplicity, and tangible outcomes, they often provide funding within 24 to 48 hours. Their clientele consists of business owners requiring immediate capital instead of prolonged wait times. The company's environment emphasizes performance, data-driven approaches, and growth-focused culture.

Position Overview

We are seeking a proactive Business Development Representative (BDR) to create and evaluate new financing opportunities. As a primary contact for business owners in need of capital, you will qualify leads before passing them on to Account Executives tasked with closing deals.

This role requires a high volume of outbound calls—above 200 daily—as well as efficient lead list management and consistent follow-up with prospects who initially do not respond or are not ready to engage. Persistence in follow-up is crucial, as successful deals rely on attentive and timely callbacks.

The compensation includes a base salary of 40,000 CAD annually, supplemented with a 10% commission on revenue from deals you generate, with no limit on earnings. High-performing reps often earn well beyond the base salary.

No previous sales experience is mandatory as comprehensive training will be provided; however, candidates must demonstrate a strong work ethic, resilience, and readiness to make calls daily.

Work Details

This is a full-time, in-office role based at our downtown Vancouver office. You will be working alongside closers and management, facilitating hands-on coaching and immediate feedback.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct over 200 outbound calls daily supplemented by email and SMS outreach
  • Efficiently manage and work through designated lead lists to maximize contact success
  • Promptly engage inbound leads generated from marketing initiatives
  • Follow up systematically with warm and cold prospects through multiple contacts and scheduled callbacks
  • Qualify potential clients based on their revenue, duration in business, and capital requirements
  • Arrange qualified appointments for Account Executives
  • Keep CRM up-to-date with accurate call logs and lead dispositions
  • Monitor and report daily key performance indicators including calls made, talk time, contacts, and conversions
  • Develop and maintain a personal sales pipeline
  • Collaborate with Account Executives to ensure smooth client handoffs

Qualifications

  • Effective communication skills with a genuine interest in cultivating professional relationships
  • Energetic, resilient, coachable, and comfortable managing high call volumes and frequent rejections
  • Self-driven with the discipline to meet call targets independently
  • Competitive and motivated by uncapped commission earnings rather than discouraged
  • Analytical thinker comfortable using technology to perform research and track metrics
  • Ability to commute to the Vancouver downtown office five days per week
  • Prior sales, call center, or client-facing experience is advantageous but not obligatory

Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual base salary of 40,000 CAD with unlimited 10% commission on revenue generated
  • One-on-one mentoring and coaching conducted directly on the office floor by seasoned representatives and management
