Job description
About LUMA1 and Role Overview
LUMA1 develops specialized software solutions that ensure construction, manufacturing, and infrastructure workforces remain compliant and qualified through training, credential tracking, and competency verification. If a Tier-1 contractor can't verify a worker's qualifications onsite, LUMA1's software solves this critical challenge.
We're recruiting a Business Development Representative based in Bracknell, UK, who will initially focus on generating and booking meetings with decision-makers at leading UK and Irish Tier-1 contractors and manufacturers. This entry-level sales role is ideal for someone eager to establish a career in sales, driven by persistence and curiosity, and comfortable with outbound phone communications.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and reach out to targeted prospects through phone, email, and LinkedIn following a structured prospect list.
- Initiate meaningful conversations to secure qualified meetings with potential customers.
- Participate in meetings alongside leadership to learn sales processes, from qualifying leads to managing objections and building long-term client relationships.
- Develop skills to progress toward managing a personal book of business and meeting sales targets as an Account Executive within 18-24 months.
Candidate Profile
- Motivated and tenacious individual ready to handle frequent outbound calls and potential rejection without discouragement.
- Curious about business decision-making and eager to learn sales techniques through real-world experience and feedback.
- Possesses a personable demeanor, avoiding robotic scripted sales approaches.
- Ambitious to grow quickly within a fast-paced sales environment.
Work Environment and Support
You will work closely with the CEO, UK Managing Director, and other leaders. Coaching and live call feedback will be provided regularly to help you improve quickly. By month three, the goal is to consistently book 12 qualified meetings monthly and competently engage in discovery conversations without relying on scripts.
Inclusivity
LUMA1 welcomes neurodivergent candidates and is committed to accommodating any accessibility needs throughout the recruitment process. Applicants are encouraged to request adjustments without needing to disclose reasons.
Application Process
- Submit your CV or LinkedIn profile.
- Provide a brief voice note (up to 60 seconds) introducing yourself and explaining why you would excel in this role; this is given more weight than the CV.
