Job description
Overview
We are seeking a Business Development Manager to join Black Box in Auckland, New Zealand. This role involves driving the growth of our client base through acquiring new customers and managing key accounts. You'll collaborate with diverse teams to develop and present solutions from our portfolio including CX/CCaaS, Digital Workplace/UCaaS, Enterprise Networking, and Cyber Security.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and secure new clients to expand business opportunities.
- Own and respond to Requests for Quotations (RFQs), Information (RFIs), and Proposals (RFPs).
- Collaborate with the Solutions team to prepare quotes and proposals.
- Manage important client accounts and maintain strong ongoing relationships at multiple organizational levels.
- Oversee contract renewals for designated clients and maintain active account plans.
- Conduct innovation and roadmap sessions regularly to align with client needs and foster growth.
- Increase business by introducing additional Black Box products and services to existing customers.
- Pitch tailored solutions and engage the Solutions and Innovation team for client workshops and presales support.
- Emphasize value-selling to minimize discounting practices.
- Maintain vendor certifications and meticulous Salesforce records for all sales opportunities.
- Meet or exceed quarterly and yearly revenue and gross margin objectives.
Qualifications and Experience
- Comprehensive understanding of integrated CX/EX technologies such as Contact Centre, Automation, IP Telephony, including consulting, integration, professional services, and annuity support, with proven sales experience.
- Knowledge of Modern Workplace solutions, Enterprise Networking, wireless/5G/LTE technologies with sales background.
- Strong business and commercial insight with deep familiarity of the CX/EX industry trends and practices.
- Proficient in strategic, value-based selling approaches.
- Ability to identify client needs and convert these into actionable sales opportunities.
- Excellent relationship-building skills with clients, prospects, consultants, and vendor partners.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation capabilities at all organizational levels.
- Effective under pressure with capacity to meet strict deadlines.
- Strong organizational aptitude, attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple priorities within a dynamic environment.
- Minimum of three years’ proven success exceeding sales quotas and key performance indicators.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or Information Technology is preferred but not mandatory.
