About the Role
Join Trimble’s Mid-Market Sales Team as a Business Development Manager and play a pivotal role in expanding our presence within the UK construction industry. As a company recognized globally for connecting physical and digital realms, Trimble leads with innovative solutions that transform how industries like construction, geospatial, and transportation operate. This position focuses on selling software subscriptions to mid-sized construction companies, helping them digitize processes and improve efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively seek and secure new business opportunities, managing the entire sales process from initial contact to contract finalization.
- Deliver tailored presentations and demonstrations showcasing the ROI and unique advantages of our SaaS products such as Viewpoint and ProjectSight.
- Collaborate with technical pre-sales and customer success teams to develop and execute strategic plans aimed at acquiring impactful new clients.
- Maintain and manage a qualified sales pipeline with precise forecasting for monthly and quarterly revenue targets, utilizing established sales frameworks.
- Acquire comprehensive knowledge of the competitive landscape to effectively position Trimble as the industry leader.
Necessary Qualifications and Experience
- In-depth knowledge of the UK construction sector, particularly firms with turnovers between £2.5 million and £100 million.
- Proven track record in new business development, especially with SaaS or technology products targeted at contractors and house builders.
- Familiarity with sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC and experience managing CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.
- Strong communication skills in English, capable of delivering sophisticated presentations and handling complex negotiations.
Additional Advantages
- Existing contacts within the UK Tier 2 and Tier 3 construction markets are considered beneficial.
Work Logistics
- Location options include Leeds, London, Milton Keynes, Newcastle, or remote within the UK.
- Up to 30% travel may be required to engage with clients and stakeholders.
