Role Overview
We are looking for a driven Business Development Manager to spearhead the expansion of Lenovo solutions within New Zealand’s partner network. The position requires developing strategic partnerships with resellers, enhancing vendor interactions, discovering new business avenues, and implementing sales strategies to boost revenue and profitability. Collaboration with Lenovo, internal sales teams, and clients is essential to increase market presence, improve partner participation, and broaden Lenovo’s portfolio regionally. This role is ideal for a proactive sales expert who excels at relationship development and achieving tangible business results.
Primary Responsibilities
- Design and implement business strategies to increase Lenovo’s revenue, profit margins, and market share.
- Establish and nurture strong alliances with reseller partners, Lenovo stakeholders, and internal sales teams.
- Locate, assess, and cultivate new sales prospects across the Lenovo product range.
- Train and empower partners on Lenovo’s products, programs, promotions, and market approaches.
- Organize regular partner engagements, including meetings, pipeline reviews, and planning sessions.
- Promote partner participation via training, marketing campaigns, events, and shared customer initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with the Vendor Business Manager to recognize and fast-track Lenovo sales opportunities.
- Track sales metrics, pipeline status, and market trends to spot growth prospects.
- Partner with Lenovo representatives to carry out strategic projects and meet vendor goals.
- Deliver precise sales forecasts, reports, and business intelligence to sales leadership.
- Develop competitive strategies to enhance Lenovo adoption and deepen customer engagement.
- Assist with key opportunities, customer presentations, and commercial negotiations as necessary.
- Maintain high customer and partner satisfaction through proactive support and relationship management.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience in Business Development, Vendor Management, Channel Sales, or Account Management roles.
- Demonstrated success in meeting sales, revenue, and profit objectives.
- Strong knowledge of the IT channel, technology distribution, or vendor ecosystems.
- Prior experience with Lenovo or comparable technology vendors is highly advantageous.
- Ability to cultivate and sustain executive-level partnerships with partners and stakeholders.
- Sharp commercial insight to identify and close new growth avenues.
- Excellent skills in presentation, communication, and negotiation.
- Competence in creating business plans, sales forecasts, and strategies.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and reporting skills.
- Self-driven, goal-focused, and capable of working independently.
- Proficient in CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and sales reporting tools.
- Team-oriented with the ability to influence across various functional groups.
