Job description

Role Overview

Join Nexon Asia Pacific as a Business Development Manager (Commercial) based in Sydney, managing the entire sales cycle from initial contact to closing deals within priority sectors including Financial Services, Professional Services, Not for Profit, and Health & Social Services. Your focus will be on securing new commercial clients and successfully transitioning accounts to Client Partners post-sale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of net new revenue generation with an annual gross profit target, focusing exclusively on acquiring new logos.
  • Proactively build and manage your sales pipeline using outbound efforts, referrals, partnerships, and marketing-generated leads.
  • Implement rigorous qualification processes using MEDDPICC on major opportunities, eliminating weak prospects early.
  • Effectively sell multi-year per user subscription bundles, presenting a compelling commercial and business case to executive-level stakeholders rather than highlighting product features.
  • Ensure high product attachment at initial sale to maximize value per client.
  • Close deals efficiently and deliver thoroughly documented handoffs to Client Partners, including scope, stakeholder information, and growth opportunities.

Success Metrics

  • Achievement of annual gross profit quotas based on multi-year contract values.
  • Maintenance of qualified sales pipeline coverage relative to targets.
  • Winning rate of qualified opportunities.
  • Speed and efficiency of the sales cycle and deal progression.
  • Number of products sold per client at landing.
  • Completeness of MEDDPICC qualification across the active sales pipeline.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrable experience in full sales cycle management targeting new commercial accounts, particularly in Financial Services, Professional Services, Not for Profit, or Health & Social Services sectors.
  • Comfort and confidence in engaging with CxO executives, framing deals with commercial and business-focused arguments.
  • Proficiency in structured sales qualification methodologies such as MEDDPICC or equivalent frameworks.
  • Experience selling multi-year, consumption-based, or per-user commercial models.
  • Strong discipline in self-generated pipeline development and management.

Key Collaborations

You will work closely with Commercial Sales Managers, marketing and lead generation teams, Deal Desk, pre-sales and solution architects, as well as Client Partners responsible after deal closure.

Eligibility

Applicants must have full legal work authorization for Australia.
