Business Development Executive (BDE)

Job Overview

The role entails recruiting, onboarding, activating, and supporting retail merchants for the PayNearby UPI Cash Point platform, ensuring quality merchant acquisition, adherence to compliance standards, and continuous transaction engagement.

Primary Responsibilities

• Identify and engage retail merchants within designated territories.
• Present and promote the PayNearby UPI Cash Point service.
• Communicate potential merchant earnings and business advantages.
• Successfully bring new merchants onto the PayNearby platform.
• Complete digital KYC processes and gather necessary documentation.
• Assist merchants with app installation and registration procedures.
• Ensure merchants are fully activated and facilitate their initial transaction.
• Install specified ATM/cash point branding and display authorized marketing materials prominently.
• Follow established KYC protocols rigorously, avoid duplicate or fraudulent registrations, take GPS-tagged photographs of merchant locations, and maintain thorough documentation.

Candidate Qualifications

• Minimum educational qualification: Graduate level.
• Experience spanning 1 to 5 years in field sales, merchant acquisition, financial services, fintech, or banking sectors.
• Preference given to candidates with backgrounds in fintech/digital payments companies (Paytm-CSC, premium executives at PhonePe, Pine Labs, MSwipe), or assisted banking entities such as HDFC Corporate BC, Airtel Payment Bank, Spice Money, and Fino Payments Bank.

Required Skills and Attributes

• Proficiency with Android smartphones.
• Ownership and ability to operate a two-wheeler.
• Experience in acquiring merchants and handling digital onboarding and KYC documentation.
• Strong territory management skills.
• Fluency in the local language is essential.
