Job description
Role Overview
As a Business Development Executive at Deriv based in Dubai, you will actively engage in recruiting and activating partners who connect Deriv's trading platform to real traders and financial markets globally. This role offers hands-on learning about high-value partner ecosystems where you will contribute to key processes from day one.
Company and Market Context
Deriv processes over $700 billion in monthly trading volume, with a major portion coming through partners such as Introducing Brokers, affiliates, fintech partners, and payment providers operating across more than 150 countries. The Growth Partnerships team is central to driving this volume, supporting partners across regions including MENA, Southeast Asia, and LATAM.
Main Responsibilities
- Recruit and develop a network of high-potential introducing brokers, affiliates, fintech players, payment providers, and strategic partners aligned with Deriv’s growth targets within assigned markets.
- Manage the entire partner lifecycle from onboarding to achieving revenue targets, analyzing performance data, identifying issues, and implementing strategies for improvement with support from the Growth Partnerships team.
- Assist in negotiating commercial deals including commission structures and volume incentives, balancing partner motivation with company profitability, gaining understanding of the underlying unit economics.
- Operate within AI-driven systems that oversee partner sourcing, onboarding, support, and management, identifying system gaps and collaborating with product and engineering teams to enhance these tools.
- Represent Deriv at key industry events and conferences such as iFX Expo, Finance Magnates, Forex Expo Dubai, and regional growth forums across diverse markets.
Candidate Profile
- Early-career experience in business development, partnerships, sales, or commercial support, preferably in sectors such as online trading, FX/CFD, fintech, or digitally-driven performance ecosystems.
- Basic knowledge of introducing broker and affiliate ecosystems or a strong aptitude for rapid learning in this area.
- Combines strong commercial focus with diligent operational follow-through to convert opportunities into tangible outcomes.
- Comfortable engaging across multicultural environments and markets, building credibility through preparation, insightful questioning, and honesty rather than overstated expertise.
- Familiarity and active use of AI tools in daily activities, with a keen interest in how automation enhances commercial operations while recognizing scenarios where human judgment is crucial.
- Exposure to regions such as MENA, Africa, LATAM, or Southeast Asia is advantageous; knowledge of Arabic, French, Spanish, or Portuguese languages is a plus.
- Holds a relevant degree in business, economics, finance, or related fields.
Work Environment and Expectations
The role is challenging and demanding, particularly for those starting their careers. You will engage with partners knowledgeable about industry economics who expect high standards. The path includes dealing with unresponsive contacts and inactive partners as part of the learning journey. This opportunity provides exposure to a global partner ecosystem, leadership, and advanced commercial practices rarely accessed by junior professionals.
