Business Continuity Expert

Role Overview

The position requires conducting comprehensive risk and exposure assessments, managing follow-ups on risk mitigation activities, and establishing systems for tracking treatment plans within the energy sector. The expert must ensure compliance by activating agreed preparedness measures and delivering regular reports on performance outcomes to minimize risks effectively.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed evaluations of risks and exposures and implement mechanisms to monitor treatment plans and preparedness actions, ensuring these are effectively applied across the energy sector.
• Enhance the existing methodologies used to evaluate and review risk levels periodically.
• Provide expert recommendations and collaborate closely with relevant stakeholders to identify key areas for detailed audits and reviews linked to risk assessment.
• Oversee the execution of risk treatment strategies and coordinate necessary follow-up actions with concerned departments.
• Continuously improve the risk management program through systematic periodic reviews aimed at program advancement and development.
• Ensure adherence to programs, plans, and recommended measures devised to prevent or lessen risk impacts, working jointly with qualified entities.
• Maintain comprehensive records of all risk-related documentation including plans, assessments, and reviews.
• Facilitate and promote a risk-aware culture by organizing workshops, training sessions, and awareness programs on risk management.
• Compile and submit regular reports detailing departmental activities, achievements, and suggest enhancements to improve operational performance.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related discipline is required.
• A Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field is preferred but not mandatory.

Experience

A minimum of six years of relevant professional experience in business continuity and risk management within the industrial or energy sectors is essential for this role.
