Business Analyst

Job Purpose

Assist the department by analyzing various opportunities, projects, and strategic initiatives through preparing studies, detailed analyses, business cases, and reports for executives. Provide data-backed insights that aid decision-making, boost operational effectiveness, hasten delivery quality and speed, and maintain focus on strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct preliminary operational and commercial feasibility studies for projects and initiatives.
• Evaluate land holdings, real estate opportunities, and investment options from a business standpoint, assessing their viability.
• Create and develop business cases to support investment decisions, operational planning, and optimal land use.
• Gather and analyze market data, competitor intelligence, and benchmark project information to provide actionable advice.
• Prepare executive-level presentations, reports, and studies for senior leadership and committee reviews.
• Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) connected to business development and strategic projects.
• Construct basic financial models and conduct scenario analyses to assist in decision processes.
• Draft scopes of work (SOWs), develop requests for proposals (RFPs), and evaluate consultant and vendor submissions.
• Document business procedures, workflow processes, and governance standards.
• Collaborate with technical, financial, legal, and operations teams to align business objectives and ensure project success.
• Monitor action plans, decisions, recommendations, and project schedules until completion.
• Prepare regular reports and analyze business data to enhance planning and organizational performance.
• Contribute to creating methodologies and analytical tools to improve efficiency and deliverable quality.

Qualification Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Management Information Systems, or closely related disciplines.

Professional Experience

• At least five years’ experience in Business Analysis, Business Development, or related roles.
• Experience with feasibility analyses, market research, and executive-level reporting is advantageous.

Technical Proficiencies

• Advanced capabilities in data analysis and reporting.
• Skilled in preparing and evaluating business cases and feasibility studies.
• Proficient user of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience in developing basic financial models and performing scenario analyses.
• Knowledgeable in project management concepts and KPI measurement frameworks.
• Strong skills in market research and competitor analysis.
