Role Overview
This fixed-term position extends until June 2027 and supports the Design & Deliver team, along with other units as needed. Reporting to the Business and Performance Lead, you will provide essential administrative aid across various teams within the group.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive administrative assistance including managing emails and diaries for Unit Managers and Heads of the assigned teams.
- Handle purchasing, financial transactions, and other critical administrative functions.
- Serve as the operational liaison connecting assigned teams with other council divisions.
- Organize meeting agendas and minutes, ensuring timely fulfillment of Group and Council reporting schedules.
- Maintain excellent internal and external customer service standards aligning with our mission that customers become our strongest advocates.
- Keep team policies and procedures updated and regularly reviewed.
- Maintain accurate training and development records.
- Support audit register actions coordination and ensure ongoing updates.
- Review and update business continuity plans regularly to ensure resilience.
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum of five years' experience in business administration with a focus on finance, quality control, and process improvements.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and comfortable using other software tools.
- Strong ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders both inside and outside the organization.
- Capable of working independently, anticipating needs, and managing workload efficiently.
- Adaptability to work in ambiguous and changing environments.
- Advanced written communication skills and presentation capabilities.
- Competence in financial management and purchasing activities.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary for this role is approximately $70,000 per year, dependent upon qualifications and experience.
