Job Summary
The BSW Laborer - Locator role involves performing physical labor tasks supporting BSW and Construction crews, such as digging, traffic control, and locates. This role includes clean-up and restoration duties related to various construction and installation projects. Additionally, the position requires driving company vehicles with trailers, managing locate activities by interpreting maps, service requests, applying locate markings, creating tickets, and collaborating with locate vendors to ensure timely, accurate completions. Promoting excellent customer satisfaction through polite interactions and professionalism is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish work zone protection by placing traffic control signs and devices compliant with local and state regulations.
- Perform manual labor related to BSW and construction crew tasks including digging and restoration.
- Conduct locating activities such as reading maps and service requests, measuring and marking facilities using white-lining and paint.
- Create and manage locate tickets accurately.
- Coordinate with locate vendors to ensure timely and precise completion of locate requests.
- Drive company vehicle and trailer safely and responsibly.
- Maintain positive customer interactions through courteous and professional behavior.
