Role Overview
This full-time, on-site Pool Technician position requires visiting residential and commercial sites to carry out fundamental pool maintenance tasks. Duties include cleaning, vacuuming, skimming, and brushing pool surfaces, testing and adjusting water chemistry, inspecting pool equipment like filters, pumps, and chlorinators, and documenting service activities and any repair needs. The technician will also provide basic troubleshooting of pool equipment, check for leaks or damage, and maintain clear communication with customers while managing daily service schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including vacuuming, skimming, and brushing pool surfaces.
- Test water chemistry and balance chemicals accurately.
- Inspect and maintain pool equipment such as filters, pumps, and chlorinators.
- Identify and troubleshoot minor equipment issues and check for leaks or damage.
- Accurately complete service records and report needed repairs.
- Engage professionally with customers and provide practical advice on pool care.
- Maintain safe work practices and manage daily service routes efficiently.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Hands-on knowledge of pool maintenance techniques including cleaning and chemical balancing.
- Ability to conduct basic equipment inspections and troubleshooting.
- Detail-oriented with strong safety awareness and record-keeping abilities.
- Good communication skills for customer interaction.
- Capability to work independently and effectively manage time and routing.
- Must hold a valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation suitable for carrying necessary supplies.
- Physically capable of handling equipment and chemicals safely.
- Previous pool care or related trade experience and relevant certifications in pool operations or water chemistry are advantageous.
