Opportunity Details
We are seeking a motivated Intermediate Bridge Designer to become part of our Tauranga Structures team. Your responsibilities will include designing new bridges as well as assessing and reinforcing existing structures within a collaborative and high-performance group. You will work alongside seasoned engineering professionals on projects spanning the Waikato region, Bay of Plenty, and across the country. This role provides ample opportunities to strengthen your technical base, expand your design capabilities, and engage throughout the entire project lifecycle.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is an emerging bridge designer with strong teamwork and communication abilities, committed to contributing to shared project achievements. A solid foundation in structural or bridge design is essential, with hands-on experience in conceptual and detailed design phases, performing technical calculations, modeling, preparing documentation, and conducting design reviews. Familiarity with digital or parametric design tools is advantageous but not mandatory; your eagerness to learn and grow with guidance from senior engineers is paramount. Candidates should either be Chartered Professional Engineers (CPEng) or actively pursuing chartership, supported by mentoring programs, structured career development, and access to field experts.
