About the Role
Join our dedicated Water team, working across sectors like municipal, industrial, transportation, commercial, mining, and agriculture. We focus on water, wastewater, stormwater, surface waters, and irrigation to help protect and enhance the environment for future generations. As a Hydraulic Modeller specialising in wastewater and water supply, you will collaborate with engineers, scientists, project managers, modellers and designers across our New Zealand offices.
Responsibilities
- Develop and fine-tune hydrological and hydraulic models for wastewater and water distribution systems.
- Analyze data relating to hydraulics, GIS, and surveys using tools like ArcGIS or QGIS.
- Conduct modelling investigations, master planning, and studies related to growth and development.
- Assist senior engineers with planning, feasibility, strategy studies, and conceptual designs for water, wastewater, and recycled water projects.
- Deliver model outputs suitable for detailed review by specialized team members.
Candidate Profile
You are an experienced and highly driven Hydraulic Modeller eager to expand your expertise in the Water sector. You have a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, or a closely related field, complemented by over six years of relevant consulting experience. Your expertise includes deep knowledge of wastewater and water supply hydraulics, and proficiency with modelling platforms such as InfoWorks ICM and WS Pro.
Your experience includes hands-on technical delivery and client engagement, allowing you to build strong networks both inside and outside your organization that foster ongoing collaborations and repeat business. You enjoy continuous learning, sharing knowledge, and bringing innovative perspectives to uplift your team and enhance service quality.
