About the Role
Our Sydney flagship boutique is transforming into an exceptional space designed to elevate client engagement and present the Maison in a unique way. We seek a dynamic Boutique Operations Manager to lead this evolution and ensure operational excellence aligned with Van Cleef & Arpels and Richemont standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage boutique operations and the back-of-house (BOH) team at the Sydney location, ensuring smooth administrative, inventory, logistics, and operational functions.
- Plan and coordinate timely execution of boutique presentations and activities while ensuring adherence to brand guidelines and procedures.
- Oversee daily financial transactions and ensure accurate reporting to the Corporate office and Richemont.
- Coordinate with suppliers and manage daily maintenance and stock replenishment within the boutique.
- Recruit, onboard, and continually develop BOH team members, fostering motivation through regular team meetings and proactive communication about projects and events.
- Conduct comprehensive training for new boutique team members including financial protocols, Richemont operations, and sales processes.
- Manage boutique inventory and monitor compliance with Richemont’s protocols on stock taking, audits, and product movement.
- Collaborate with Marketing for the planning and execution of high-value inventory movements.
- Participate in Richemont audits, driving action plans and monitoring their implementation.
- Ensure optimal working conditions focusing on security, health, and safety; oversee daily boutique setup and closing procedures.
- Serve as the main contact for Customer Service Workshop and Omnichannel operations at the boutique.
- Maintain strong partnerships with corporate stakeholders, security management, and external service providers such as logistics, cleaning, and repairs.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or a minimum of four to five years managing operations in a fast-paced luxury retail environment.
- In-depth knowledge of luxury client experience, multitasking ability across projects, and strong grasp of operational, omnichannel, customer service, security, and IT functions.
- Strong interpersonal skills demonstrated through effective people management, leadership, networking, and stakeholder engagement.
- Proven problem-solving skills with a focus on operational issue resolution and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Proficiency in computer applications alongside excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
