BIE Engineer - UAE National

Role Overview

This position supports the Ultra-Fast Grocery team by delivering accurate and timely reports and dashboards essential for weekly business reviews. The role emphasizes streamlining and automating reporting workflows to enhance efficiency and minimize manual interventions. Collaboration with Business Analysts, BI Engineers, and Program Managers is key to comprehend data necessities and provide clean, thoroughly documented data pipelines, ensuring strong operational discipline and well-defined pipeline ownership.

Key Responsibilities

• Publish reports and dashboards specifically for the Ultra-Fast Grocery division.
• Improve reporting mechanisms with a focus on automating data models.
• Engage with stakeholders including Business Analysts, BI Engineers, and Program Managers to understand data requirements and deliver well-documented and raw data pipelines.
• Uphold operational excellence by guaranteeing reports are generated timely in preparation for weekly business reviews.

Qualifications

• Possesses a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Data Science, Public Administration, Finance, Engineering, Human Resources, or a closely related discipline.
• Proven experience in automation and analysis to create process improvements, or demonstrated skills in developing financial models using advanced Excel features such as pivot tables, macros, VBA, and Power Query.
• Preferred experience includes proficiency in SQL for extracting data and generating metrics to compile reports.
