About the Role
Bentley Systems is seeking a Bid Manager to play a pivotal role in managing complex, multidisciplinary engineering proposals for major infrastructure projects worldwide. This position demands leading the entire bid process from conception to successful submission, working closely with teams across Sales, Legal, Product, and Finance to ensure compliant, compelling bids that enhance Bentley's competitive edge and protect revenue streams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of bid plans and schedules, managing binding and non-binding tender opportunities.
- Coordinate contributions from various stakeholders and oversee reviews to guarantee compliance and quality standards.
- Engage regularly with sales teams, participate in regional pipeline meetings, and report on opportunity status.
- Execute pursuit strategies and maintain rigorous bid management practices to promote consistency and continuous improvement.
Optional Responsibilities
- Leverage artificial intelligence tools to automate initial bid drafts, tailor complex technical responses, analyze tender documents for compliance risks, and maintain content libraries for frequent reuse.
- Support regional growth efforts through reporting, analytics, and sales enablement activities.

- Achieving high on-time bid submission rates.
- Maintaining bid quality scores and positive stakeholder feedback.
- Converting opportunities effectively and ensuring process compliance.
Qualifications and Experience
- Fluent English skills required; additional languages are advantageous.
- Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent commercial experience in a solutions or IT environment.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience managing complex and high-value bids, including public sector RFPs and RFIs.
- APMP certification at any level (Foundation, Practitioner, or Professional).
- Experience with structured bid methodologies such as Shipley Associates.
- Strong project management capabilities; PMP or PRINCE2 certifications highly valued.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with proposal automation software.
