Position Summary
The role of a Bell Boy is to create a remarkable first and last impression for guests at the hotel. This entails providing a broad range of services to assist guests during their arrival and departure, ensuring these interactions enhance their overall experience. The Bell Boy is entrusted with the responsibility to proactively attend to guests' needs, handle operational tasks, manage requests, complete reports, and offer information about local attractions, making every transaction a seamless part of the guest experience.
Job Environment and Physical Requirements
The position requires being active on foot, involving standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods. Tasks include manual handling of luggage and objects — moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling objects up to 50 pounds independently, and heavier items over 75 pounds with help. Upholding a safe workplace, following company policies, maintaining confidentiality, safeguarding company property, adhering to quality standards, and ensuring a professional appearance and communication style are fundamental to success in this role.
Educational and Experience Requirements
Applicants should have completed high school or possess an equivalent GED. No prior work or supervisory experience is required, and no certifications or licenses are necessary.
