Base Maintenance Controller

Overview

Join the Base Maintenance Department within the SIA Engineering Division as a Maintenance Controller. This role entails supporting base maintenance activities and reporting directly to the Vice President of Base Maintenance. The primary duty involves facilitating timely completion of maintenance checks and repairs within a base maintenance hangar setting, applicable to both Singapore and overseas locations for Singapore Airlines and its subsidiaries.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with all Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) providers to manage preparation and progress of aircraft maintenance checks.
• Participate in daily engineering operations meetings to update stakeholders on the status of aircraft undergoing maintenance.
• Coordinate with MRO and the Costing department to assess fair charging for ongoing hangar check work.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing maintenance costs and improving workflow efficiency during hangar checks.
• Perform regular audits of MRO activities to verify proper completion of maintenance tasks and ensure documentation accuracy.
• Prepare and distribute daily progress reports concerning maintenance checks in the base maintenance hangars.

Requirements

• Must be a Licensed Aircraft Engineer with preferably 10 years of experience in base maintenance work.
• Possess excellent interpersonal skills due to frequent interaction with various user departments.
• Strong planning and organizational abilities with a capacity to work independently.
• Demonstrate solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good IT proficiency.
