Job description
Position Overview
As a Bartender at Sheraton Hotels & Resorts located in Doha, Qatar, you will be responsible for expertly crafting beverages as per specified recipes using precise measurement techniques. You will manage the serving of wines and champagnes, maintain the cleanliness and order of the bar area, and ensure all bar supplies are well stocked. Key tasks include preparing fresh garnishes, handling glassware, and processing payments accurately.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve drinks following set recipes and measurement standards.
- Serve wine and champagne, including opening and issuing bottles.
- Maintain cleanliness and good condition of the bar, bar unit, tables, and related tools.
- Prepare fresh drink garnishes and restock ice, glassware, and supplies as needed.
- Transport supplies to the bar setup area and wash used glassware.
- Remove used items from bar tops and tables, placing them in designated areas.
- Anticipate needs for replenishment and communicate these promptly.
- Handle all methods of payment, perform end-of-shift bank counting, complete cashier reports, resolve discrepancies, and secure the cash bank.
- Safeguard liquors, beers, wines, storage cabinets, and coolers.
- Complete all closing tasks to prepare the bar for next use.

- Maintain professional personal appearance and uniform standards.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements
- Ability to read and verify detailed information across various formats.
- Capability to stand, walk, or sit for prolonged periods during shift.
- Physically able to move, lift, carry, push or pull objects up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Engage fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination to manipulate objects of various sizes and weights.
- Navigate narrow, confined, elevated, or uneven spaces safely.
- Perform tasks involving bending, twisting, reaching overhead or below knees regularly.
- Carry out additional reasonable duties as required by supervisors.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a related role.
- No supervisory experience necessary.
- No certification or license required.
