Position Overview

We invite passionate professionals to join Raffles Dubai as a Bartender in our prestigious Raffles Salon lobby lounge. This role involves efficiently taking and preparing drink orders for guests and patrons, reporting directly to the Outlets Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

• Keep abreast of daily events and VIP arrivals.
• Possess comprehensive knowledge of bar items, ingredients, and preparation techniques.
• Deliver impeccable service details for every guest interaction.
• Adhere strictly to Beverage Department Standard Operating Procedures.
• Manage table settings including linens, china, glass, and silverware.
• Ensure guest satisfaction by promptly addressing and resolving issues, escalating to management as necessary.
• Recognize and greet regular guests by name, noting and accommodating their preferences.
• Prepare the bar setup before opening with all essential supplies and garnishes.
• Handle drink orders efficiently from guests and staff, ensuring accuracy and prompt billing.
• Create cocktails in line with the hotel's standard beverage manual.
• Receive and verify liquor inventories against previous shift requisitions.
• Monitor guest consumption to minimize excessive drinking issues.
• Organize requisitions and verification for food and beverage items in bar areas.
• Maintain full bar stock and complete side duties during opening and closing.
• Prepare fruits for garnishing drinks.
• Arrange bottles and glassware for appealing displays.
• Keep the bar clean and orderly, regularly clearing used items.
• Maintain security within the bar area, remaining onsite unless properly relieved.
• Assist in cleanup activities including disposal of cans/bottles and cleaning of counters.
• Possess thorough knowledge of all food and beverage services and hotel features.
• Handle cash transactions following approved accounting procedures.

Qualifications & Personal Attributes

• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Collaborative team player with creativity and an outgoing demeanor.
• Consistently maintain professional appearance and grooming standards.
• Strong communication skills and ability to resolve customer issues.
• Solid knowledge of food and beverage products, service styles, beverage preparation, including cocktails, hard liquors, wines, and mixes.
• Commitment to embodying the Raffles brand promise and luxury values in daily interactions.

• Minimum secondary school education.
• At least two years of experience in food and beverage with expertise in bar operations.
• Previous experience handling cashier duties.
