Role Overview

This full-time hybrid position is based in Doha, Qatar, with duties primarily performed onsite alongside some remote tasks, such as updating menus, managing inventory records, and participating in online training sessions. The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with lodge standards, ensuring consistency, safety, and appealing presentation.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist guests warmly, taking and fulfilling beverage orders while providing personalized recommendations.
• Serve drinks attentively and courteously at bar and lounge spaces.
• Manage bar stock and equipment upkeep, maintaining cleanliness and organization of all bar areas.
• Handle cash and payment transactions with precision using POS systems and maintain accurate records.
• Comply strictly with health, safety, and responsible alcohol service regulations.
• Coordinate with the food and beverage team and support special events and functions.
• Contribute to upselling strategies and enhance overall guest satisfaction.

Qualifications and Skills

• Strong service orientation focused on fostering positive guest experiences and professionally managing needs.
• Effective communication skills including attentive listening, clear order-taking, and teamwork coordination.
• Working knowledge of food and beverage practices, mixology basics, drink pairings, and hygiene protocols.
• Proficient and accurate cash handling aptitude.
• Hands-on experience in preparing cocktails, mocktails, and traditional drinks while maintaining operational efficiency.
• Previous employment in hotels, resorts, or lounges is a preferred advantage.
• Familiarity with responsible alcohol service laws specific to Qatar.
• Willingness to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays, with stamina for standing extended hours.
• Professional demeanor with reliability, detail-orientation, and a positive team spirit.
• Basic mathematical ability and computer literacy; experience with Accor or related hospitality systems is beneficial.
