Barista

Position Overview

This role demands skilled preparation of beverage orders following precise recipes and measurement guidelines. Responsibilities include serving alcoholic beverages such as wine and champagne, maintaining cleanliness and organization of the bar area, preparing garnishes, and managing inventory supplies including ice, glassware, and paper products.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve drinks according to specified recipes, measuring accurately.
• Serve wine and champagne bottles properly.
• Keep the bar, tables, and equipment clean and orderly.
• Prepare fresh garnishes for drinks and restock necessary supplies.
• Manage soiled glassware by washing and removing from service areas.
• Communicate and anticipate replenishment needs for the bar.
• Handle all forms of payment, balance cash bank at shift end, complete cashier reports, and secure receipts and cash.
• Secure alcoholic beverage storage areas according to policy.
• Complete all closing procedures efficiently.
• Follow company safety and security guidelines and report unsafe conditions.
• Maintain clean, professional appearance and uphold confidentiality and asset protection.
• Provide excellent guest service by welcoming guests warmly and responding to their needs attentively.
• Use clear, professional communication and foster positive interpersonal relationships with team members.
• Meet quality and performance standards consistently.
• Perform physical tasks including standing, sitting, walking for extended shifts, lifting up to 50 pounds, and moving in confined spaces or on uneven surfaces.
• Undertake any other reasonable tasks as directed by supervisors.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum education requirement is a high school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
• At least one year of prior experience in a relevant role within food and beverage service.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No licenses or certifications are mandatory.
