Role Overview

The position of Barista at Abin's Cafe and Patisserie is a full-time, in-person role based at the Haripad location. Responsibilities include crafting coffee and espresso drinks, preparing teas and other beverages following established recipes and quality standards, and assisting in the preparation of pastries and light food items. Maintaining organization and cleanliness in the workspace, handling and caring for equipment properly, greeting customers warmly, accurately taking and processing orders and payments, and answering inquiries regarding menu offerings and specials are key daily tasks. The Barista will collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient operations during busy periods and to foster a welcoming, professional environment.

Qualifications and Expectations

• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills to interact positively with patrons and team members.
• Fundamental barista competencies, including knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and espresso drink preparation.
• Effective communication abilities for order accuracy, menu explanations, and teamwork coordination.
• Competence in food preparation associated with ingredients handling, assembling light snacks or pastries, and adherence to hygiene protocols.
• Previous experience in cafe, restaurant, or hospitality settings is advantageous.
