Bar Person (Bar & Lounge)

About the Role

Cabra Castle, a recipient of the Great Places to Work Award for 2024/2025, is seeking a dedicated Bar Person for its bar and lounge area. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a team renowned for high standards in a four-star castle hotel setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the bar area, ensuring correct setup and mise-en-place before and during service.
• Warmly welcome guests and promptly serve food and beverages to meet the high standards expected.
• Report for duty punctually and wear the designated uniform as specified in the induction handbook.
• Keep the bar area fully stocked and clean at all times, adhering strictly to hygiene regulations.
• Ensure accurate cash floats by checking and reporting any discrepancies (responsibility applies to senior bar personnel).
• Efficiently dispense and serve drinks and bar food with full tray setup according to four-star standards.
• Ensure food service complies with the quality standards established by the chef and maintain guest satisfaction at all times.

Candidate Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Fluent in both written and spoken English.
• Right to reside and work in Ireland.
• Reliable commuting ability.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
