At InterContinental Abu Dhabi, we aim to create unforgettable guest experiences by offering heartfelt hospitality, meticulous service, and keen attention to detail. We are seeking a passionate and customer-centric Bar Attendant to join our Food & Beverage team.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and offer friendly, attentive, and professional service.
• Assist bartenders in beverage preparation and service as needed.
• Set up and maintain the bar area before, during, and after service hours.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of glassware, equipment, garnishes, and bar supplies.
• Restock beverages, ice, glassware, and other bar necessities throughout shifts.
• Serve drinks and accurately process guest orders while adhering to hotel standards.
• Possess a solid understanding of the beverage menu to help guests with recommendations.
• Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests.
• Maintain hygiene and cleanliness in bar areas and equipment at all times.
• Support inventory checks and proper handling and storage of stock items.
• Collaborate effectively with bartenders, servers, kitchen staff, and supervisors for seamless service.
• Comply with all food safety, hygiene, health and safety, and responsible alcohol service policies.
• Contribute to opening and closing procedures, and assist during special functions or events when required.
• Exemplify IHG values through positive interactions with guests and team members daily.

Candidate Profile

• Previous experience working in a bar, restaurant, hotel, or in a related Food & Beverage setting.
• Basic familiarity with beverages and bar operations is advantageous.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Professional, approachable, and guest-oriented demeanor.
• High standards for cleanliness, organization, and attention to detail.
• Capability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive attitude and readiness to assist the team.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• Eager to learn and expand knowledge of beverages and bar service.
• Good command of English language; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
