Bakery Department Manager

Position Overview

This role involves managing all Bakery Associates along with overseeing department operations to deliver excellent customer service and achieve production goals.

Key Duties

• Receive merchandise, properly use equipment, oversee maintenance and repairs, and manage related documentation.
• Maintain the sales floor by stocking, rotating items, removing damaged or expired products, organizing displays, and updating pricing and signage.
• Play an active role in recruiting, selecting, training, and developing all bakery team members.
• Exemplify customer service by greeting shoppers warmly and assisting them with product information, locating merchandise, and supporting purchase decisions.
• Manage Bakery Store Within A Store (SWAS) planning, participate in SWAS meetings to assess product reports, sales, and ordering, ensuring adequate stock and executing merchandising and replenishment initiatives.
• Handle claims, returns, secure merchandise, detect items with high shrinkage, and maintain a workplace that adheres to safety protocols.
• Complete necessary paperwork such as inventory tracking, waste records, invoices, and daily assignment notes.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage for this position is $19.35.
