Position Overview

Working as a Bakery Associate at Walmart Canada offers an opportunity to enhance your retail and customer service skills. Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the quality and appearance of bakery products including bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
• Keep the bakery department fully stocked and always ready for customers.
• Ensure all bakery items are clearly labeled with accurate pricing and signage.
• Comply with practices related to cold chain management including thermometer calibration and accurate temperature recording.
• Adhere strictly to food safety, sanitation, and product handling protocols, including proper product rotation and monitoring sell-by and expiration dates.
• Manage ordering processes, handle clearances, apply markups or markdowns, and ensure labeling accuracy.
• Prepare bakery items by following precise thawing and baking guidelines to maintain product quality and appearance.
• Arrange displays safely and securely to prevent hazards.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage for this position is $18.05.

Minimum Requirements

• Applicants must be 16 years of age or older.
