Role Overview
Joining Walmart Canada as a Bakery Associate offers an opportunity to enhance your retail skills while delivering outstanding customer service. This role involves maintaining the bakery area, ensuring merchandise quality, and supporting sales through proper stock management and display upkeep.
Key Duties
- Maintain the quality and attractive presentation of bakery products including bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
- Ensure the bakery department remains fully stocked and prepared for daily business operations.
- Accurately price and label all bakery items, following company guidelines.
- Comply with cold chain protocols, including thermometer calibration, temperature logging, and product rotation.
- Adhere strictly to food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
- Follow ordering, clearance, markdowns, and labeling procedures to optimize inventory management.
- Prepare bakery goods by following precise thawing and baking instructions to ensure product excellence.
- Secure all bakery displays safely and neatly.
Compensation
The starting hourly wage for this position is $18.70.
Minimum Requirements
- Candidates must be at least 16 years old.
