Job description
Overview
As a Bakery Associate with Walmart Canada, you will play a key role in providing outstanding customer service while supporting the retail bakery section. This role includes maintaining product quality, stocking items, and ensuring the bakery area is well-organized and attractive to customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the quality and visual appeal of bakery products including bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
- Keep the bakery area fully stocked and prepared for daily operations.
- Label products correctly with pricing and signage to facilitate sales.
- Follow standard procedures to maintain cold chain compliance, calibrate thermometers, record temperatures, and manage food safety protocols.
- Adhere to all food handling, sanitation, and cleanliness standards to ensure safety.
- Manage ordering, markdowns, pricing adjustments, and labeling efficiently and accurately.
- Prepare bakery items precisely following guidelines for thawing and baking to preserve product quality and appearance.
- Secure displays in a safe and orderly fashion at all times.
Remuneration
The starting wage for this position is $17.20 per hour.
