Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain the quality and presentation of bakery products, including bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
• Keep the bakery department fully stocked and prepared for customer service throughout business hours.
• Ensure all bakery items are correctly signed and priced according to standards.
• Comply with food safety regulations, including cold chain management, thermometer calibration, temperature logging, proper food handling, product rotation, and monitoring sell-by and expiration dates.
• Maintain sanitation and cleanliness in the bakery by following established procedures.
• Execute ordering, clearance management, price adjustments (markups and markdowns), and proper labeling and signage routinely.
• Accurately prepare bakery items by following thawing and baking instructions to preserve quality and appearance.
• Guarantee that all displays are safely and properly secured to prevent hazards.

Compensation

The starting wage for this position is $17.20 per hour.
