Role Overview
The Stock Unloader Associate position at Walmart Canada offers a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience within a fast-moving retail setting. You will be crucial in assisting with the smooth functioning of the store by unloading delivery trailers, handling merchandise, and transferring pallets to the sales area, all while prioritizing a safe and orderly workspace. Key Duties
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders from various temperature zones carefully to guarantee timely and accurate delivery.
- Ensure order accuracy by verifying products, quantities, and labeling including pick slips and shipping tags.
- Maintain product quality by selecting fresh items and removing any damaged or inappropriate merchandise.
- Efficiently organize packing totes to maximize space while adhering to safety and quality standards.
- Balance task completion with helpful customer engagement, assisting with inquiries and resolving issues when needed.
- Uphold safety, food hygiene standards, and store cleanliness by promptly managing spills and ensuring clean packing materials.
- Operate equipment safely, perform routine safety inspections, and contribute ideas to enhance processes and customer satisfaction.
- Be adaptable by working varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet business demands.
Challenges
- Manage high-volume tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment, especially during overnight hours, ensuring focus and energy are maintained.
- Perform physical duties such as standing for long durations, bending, and lifting items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Carry out repetitive stock management activities, including zoning and product organization with consistent attention to detail.

Compensation
The starting pay rate for this role is $17.75 per hour.
