Position Overview
Joining Walmart Canada as a Bakery Associate offers an excellent opportunity to build expertise within the retail sector. The role focuses on delivering outstanding customer service, upholding Walmart's fundamental values, managing the bakery section, and assisting with inventory and product sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that bakery products such as bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls meet quality and aesthetic standards.
- Keep the bakery department fully stocked and prepared for business activities.
- Maintain accurate signage and pricing of all bakery merchandise.
- Comply with policies concerning cold chain management, including thermometer calibration, temperature logs, food handling, product rotation, and monitoring sell-by and expiration dates.
- Follow rigorous food safety and sanitation practices to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Properly execute procedures related to ordering, clearance, pricing adjustments, and product labeling.
- Prepare bakery items adhering strictly to thawing and baking guidelines to preserve product quality and appearance.
- Ensure all bakery displays are arranged securely and safely.
Compensation
The starting pay rate for this position is $19.05 per hour.
