Bakery Associate

Position Overview

As a Bakery Associate at Walmart Canada, you will develop valuable skills in retail by delivering exemplary customer service consistent with Walmart's core values. Your role involves maintaining and organizing the bakery section, assisting with stocking, merchandising, and sales operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and ensure the quality and visual appeal of bakery products including bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
• Keep the bakery section fully stocked and prepared for business hours.
• Properly label and price all bakery merchandise.
• Comply with all food safety standards, including cold chain management, thermometer calibration, accurate temperature logging, proper food handling, product rotation, and monitoring sell-by and expiration dates.
• Adhere strictly to sanitation and cleaning protocols to maintain a hygienic bakery environment.
• Execute correct procedures for ordering products, clearance, pricing adjustments, and signage management.
• Prepare bakery items by carefully following thawing and baking instructions to preserve quality and presentation.
• Ensure all bakery displays are safely and properly secured.

Compensation

The minimum hourly wage for this position is $18.05.

Qualifications

Minimum: Candidates must be at least 16 years of age.
