Position Overview

We seek a skilled baker to join our Rathcoole branch, responsible for producing a variety of baked goods in large quantities while upholding high standards of hygiene and organization.

Primary Responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with HACCP and EHO guidelines for food safety management, including implementing FIFO stock rotation.
• Prepare food daily to ensure readiness for upcoming days or weeks.
• Complete kitchen setup and closing duties, ensuring all surfaces and storage areas are clean and orderly.
• Properly store food in clean, dry containers labeled with production and use-by dates according to safety procedures.
• Ensure all food items are attractively presented following Avoca's standards or directives from supervisors.

Skills and Competencies

• Strong organizational skills to manage cleanliness and food stocking effectively.
• Consistent punctuality, adhering to absence and sick leave policies with proper notification.
• Ability to multitask efficiently, such as monitoring oven items while preparing other dishes.
• Flexibility to accommodate roster changes, cover staffing shortages, and perform duties beyond the typical role as needed.
• Physical stamina and energy to manage high-volume production of breads and pastries.
