Role Overview

BJAK seeks backend engineers to develop the core infrastructure for their AI Neobank application. The position demands creating resilient APIs, operational workflows, and financial product systems capable of scaling across different markets and partners, serving millions of users.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop backend services and APIs supporting onboarding, accounts, payments, cards, money transfers, rewards, travel, foreign exchange, KYC, and risk management processes.
• Architect dependable systems that handle genuine customer transactions, operational tasks, and upcoming financial products.
• Integrate backend systems with internal platforms, financial partners, payment gateways, AI services, and external third-party solutions.
• Ensure backend system quality focusing on reliability, security, latency optimization, observability, data accuracy, and incident management.
• Collaborate with product, frontend, mobile, and AI teams to deliver new features rapidly and securely.
• Enhance existing systems by streamlining procedures, minimizing manual interventions, and automating repetitive workflows.

Candidate Profile

• Proficient experience in backend engineering for live production environments.
• Solid understanding of APIs, databases, authentication and authorization mechanisms, message queues, jobs, events, and system integrations.
• Track record of building backend services that support real customers or internal operational uses at meaningful scale.
• Strong analytical skills focused on debugging, ensuring system reliability, security, and maintaining data quality.
• Ability to balance speed, accuracy, scalability, and maintainability when making development decisions.
• Experience in fintech domains such as payments, banking, wallets, KYC, fraud detection, or risk management is advantageous but not mandatory if core fundamentals are sound.
