Azure DevOps Engineer

Overview

The role demands extensive proficiency in Azure DevOps and GitHub, alongside practical skills in managing and troubleshooting Kubernetes environments. Candidates should be adept at creating and handling Helm charts, with a solid grasp of GitOps deployment methods using ArgoCD. A deep understanding of CI/CD pipeline concepts and effective implementation is essential. Familiarity with Git version control, Linux systems, and shell scripting is required. Knowledge of containerization technologies, particularly Docker, is also necessary.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and oversee CI/CD pipelines utilizing Azure DevOps and GitHub platforms.
• Deploy, operate, and monitor containerized applications within Kubernetes clusters.
• Implement GitOps-based automated deployment processes through ArgoCD.
• Develop and maintain Helm charts for Kubernetes application deployments.
• Work in tandem with development and operations teams to enhance software delivery workflows.
• Manage Git repositories and source code effectively using Git and GitHub.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to deployment, infrastructure, and applications.
• Automate routine operational procedures and infrastructure provisioning.

Additional Knowledge and Skills

• Experience working with cloud service platforms like Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or ARM templates.
• Use of monitoring and logging solutions including Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or Azure Monitor.
• Understanding and implementation of security best practices in DevOps setups.
