Their offerings include expertise in business intelligence, data management, performance measurement, and advanced analytics including big data, cloud technologies, cognitive computing, and machine learning.
Role Overview
The AWS DevOps Engineer will apply sector-specific knowledge during requirements gathering and analysis to ensure project alignment with business needs. Responsibilities span the full software development lifecycle—from design and development to deployment and troubleshooting—working collaboratively with stakeholders to assure on-time delivery. The candidate will also participate in peer code reviews and team quality assurance efforts. Active involvement in Agile methodologies including sprint planning, retrospectives, and effort estimation is expected. Additionally, the role includes promoting knowledge sharing, supporting team training and project knowledge maintenance, and driving process improvements with an emphasis on automation to enhance efficiency and project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deploy AWS Landing Zones along with multi-account strategies.
- Utilize Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, and Ansible for provisioning and managing AWS resources.
- Set up and manage auto-scaling and auto-provisioning, optimizing resource usage effectively.
- Design and maintain network configurations including VPCs, subnets, routing, security groups, and network ACLs.
- Control IAM roles and policies, adhering to security standards and compliance requirements.
Required Experience and Skills
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in AWS infrastructure management roles.
- Relevant AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional) and AWS Certified SysOps Administrator.
- Knowledge of cost optimization techniques and performance tuning on AWS.
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum project management methodologies.
