Job description
Role Overview
We seek a highly skilled AWS Cloud Architect with 8 to 12 years of experience to architect, implement, and manage secure, scalable, highly available, and cost-efficient cloud solutions on AWS. The ideal candidate will demonstrate in-depth capability in cloud infrastructure, modernization, security protocols, networking, and DevOps processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Design scalable and highly available AWS cloud architectures.
- Create strategies for cloud migration and modernization targeting enterprise applications.
- Build solutions leveraging AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, EKS/ECS, VPC, IAM, CloudFront, Route 53, API Gateway, and CloudWatch.
- Engineer secure AWS network environments including VPC, subnets, routing, VPN, Transit Gateway, and load balancers.
- Implement best practices for cloud security, governance, access management, and compliance.
- Define and manage Infrastructure as Code using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Collaborate with DevOps, engineering, security, and application teams to deliver integrated solutions.
- Lead initiatives on cloud cost optimization, performance enhancement, and operational excellence.
- Provide technical leadership and arrange architectural guidance for project teams.
- Produce architectural diagrams, technical documents, standards, and best practices manuals.
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum 8 years in IT infrastructure and cloud engineering with advanced AWS architecture experience.
- Profound hands-on expertise with a variety of AWS services and enterprise-grade architecture.
- Comprehensive understanding of AWS networking, security, IAM, compute, storage, database, containerization, and serverless technologies.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes/EKS, microservices architecture, and API-centric designs.
- Expertise in cloud migration, disaster recovery, high availability, and business continuity planning.
- Solid grasp of AWS Well-Architected Framework and cloud security principles.
- Excellent communication skills to manage stakeholders and design effective solutions.
Certifications
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional (mandatory).
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate (optional additional credential).
- Other AWS certifications are beneficial.
