Role Summary

The Project Manager for Cloud Migration will oversee the complete migration of on-premises infrastructure and applications to AWS Cloud. This role involves close collaboration with solution architects, IT teams, business stakeholders, and cloud specialists to plan, execute, and deliver migration projects effectively. Key responsibilities include managing project timelines, budgets, resources, and risk mitigation while ensuring alignment with business goals and compliance with security and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate cloud migration projects from on-premise setups to AWS, ensuring adherence to time, budget, and scope.
• Engage with stakeholders to clarify project objectives, deliverables, and expectations according to business needs.
• Collaborate with solution architects, cloud architects, infrastructure teams, and vendors to implement the migration strategy.
• Assess and address risks and issues during the project lifecycle to minimize operational disruptions.
• Develop and oversee the migration roadmap encompassing applications, databases, and data transfer.
• Manage project teams to identify dependencies, blockages, and resource requirements to guarantee timely completion.
• Maintain compliance with AWS cloud security standards, policies, and best practices.
• Provide regular updates on project status, risks, and mitigation tactics to senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Monitor performance after migration and ensure the cloud infrastructure runs optimally and stably.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years managing IT projects, with preferred experience in GCC migration.
• In-depth knowledge of AWS cloud services, including EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, and cloud security protocols.
• Proven experience handling large-scale infrastructure migrations from on-premises to cloud.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and interdependencies.
• Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall project management frameworks.
• Experience with cloud automation, continuous integration/deployment pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation is advantageous.
• Strong leadership, communication, and critical thinking abilities.
