Role Overview

We invite you to join our pioneering Avionics Production team in Auckland, where you'll be integral in crafting and assembling the electronic systems for the Electron launch vehicle. This hands-on role involves working with precision tools and equipment to assemble, test, troubleshoot, and rework avionics and wiring harnesses to ensure flawless mission readiness.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electronic components using high precision tools
• Perform testing, troubleshooting, and rework on electronic harnesses and assemblies
• Follow high workmanship standards in soldering and wire harness manufacturing
• Inspect PCBs and wiring assemblies closely for quality assurance

Essential Qualifications and Skills

• Trade qualification in relevant industry or equivalent with 4+ years’ experience
• Experience in precise mechanical and electrical assembly
• Proficient operation of mechanical, electrical, and automated test equipment
• Understanding and adherence to ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) policies
• Excellent visual acuity for inspection tasks
• Capable of manufacturing components with soldering and wire harnessing

• Reading and interpreting manufacturing instructions and technical drawings
• Demonstrated work ethic with willingness to take on responsibility and work extended hours if necessary

Additional Details

The role operates an evening shift pattern from Monday to Thursday, 3:30 PM to 2:00 AM, with an evening shift allowance applicable.
